BOSTON, MA – The Boston Fleet have activated defender Hadley Hartmetz from Lengthy-Time period Injured Reserve (LTIR) forward of tonight’s recreation towards the Montréal Victoire. The rookie will make her Skilled Ladies’s Hockey League (PWHL) debut in entrance of the house crowd on the Tsongas Middle in a battle between the league’s high two groups at 7 p.m. ET.
The 23-year-old from Phoenixville, PA was chosen by Boston within the seventh spherical (fortieth general) within the 2024 PWHL Draft and has been on LTIR in the course of the season. Hartmetz performed 5 seasons of NCAA Division 1 hockey at Boston School (2019-21) and Ohio State (2021-24). Throughout her tenure with the Buckeyes she earned two Nationwide Championship titles in 2022 and 2024, enjoying in 118 video games whereas recording 18 targets and 41 assists. Hartmetz can be a two-time medalist with the U.S. U18 Ladies’s Nationwide Staff (silver-2019, gold-2018).
Hartmetz sustained a lower-body harm whereas competing with Ohio State again in March 2024. She signed a one-year Customary Participant Settlement with the Fleet on Nov. 15 and was moved to the workforce’s Reserve Participant record upon activation from LTIR. She has now been signed to a 10-day contract.
