Earlier this month Meribel stated it will withdraw from The Video games after a proposal was put ahead for Val d’Isere to host the ladies’s alpine snowboarding occasions.
Meribel understood it was to be the host venue and it will have left the French resort with solely the para-alpine snowboarding.
Initially the Worldwide Olympic Committee and French organisers unveiled a plan that positioned males’s alpine snowboarding in Courchevel and ladies’s alpine snowboarding in Meribel.
The neighbouring resorts efficiently co-hosted the 2023 Alpine World Ski Championships that was seen as a trial-run for the Olympics.
