Boston Pink Sox nearer Aroldis Chapman continues to mow down hitters at a historic tempo, and he completed yet one more uncommon feat on Sunday.
Chapman recorded his twenty ninth save of the 12 months in Boston’s 7-4 win over the Arizona Diamondbacks. He did so by pitching a ninth inning that was, you might say, higher than excellent.
Chapman struck out 4 Diamondbacks hitters to shut out the sport. The left-hander struck out second baseman Blaze Alexander and pinch hitter Ildemaro Vargas swinging to start the inning, however Vargas reached first base on a wild pitch. That was no problem in any respect for Chapman.
Whereas some pitchers may implode in a scenario like that, Chapman settled again in and struck out first baseman Tyler Locklear and third baseman Jordan Lawlar swinging to finish the sport.
