Bowdoin has introduced the hiring of Al Washco as an assistant coach for the boys’s hockey workforce.
Washco returns to Bowdoin following the departure of Sean Walsh, who has accepted a place at Alaska.
A Polar Bear from 2018 to 2023, Washco appeared in 91 video games, recording 26 objectives and 35 assists. As a senior, he tallied seven objectives and 13 assists, serving to Bowdoin seize the 2023 NESCAC championship and earn a berth within the NCAA Division III match. He graduated that spring with a level in Authorities and Authorized Research and a minor in Russian.
After faculty, Washco pursued an expert profession in Europe, competing for the Zweibrücken Hornets (Germany) and Les Bisons de Neuilly-sur-Marne (France) earlier than accidents lower his profession quick.
