Freddie Freeman has performed on star-studded groups previously – each with the Los Angeles Dodgers and Atlanta Braves. Nonetheless, nothing compares to the media storm that has engulfed the Dodgers clubhouse this season.
Freeman spoke with MLB Community Radio and mentioned, “The media consideration means one thing good occurred in our offseason. The thrill is actual.”
He’s proper. The added media consideration got here with the Dodgers’ spending $1.3 billion this offseason including elite gamers like Shohei Ohtani, Tyler Glasnow and Yoshinobu Yamamoto.
He lightheartedly touched on the elevated variety of cameras within the parking zone as every participant drives up within the morning. Pictures of large media scrums have surfaced surrounding a lot of the gamers – primarily Ohtani and Yamamoto.
Whereas such a consideration can improve stress on a staff, Freeman mentions that there’s already stress when placing on a Dodger uniform. He says there are expectations to be met and it’s simpler to drown out the media noise as soon as contained in the clubhouse.
The Dodgers little doubt have a magnifying glass on them this season. With a lineup that includes three former MVPs and a revamped beginning rotation, folks need to see how the Dodgers carry out when it issues most.
