A French participant has been banned for twenty years for corruption.
French participant Quentin Folliot has been suspended from tennis for 20 years, fined $70,000, and ordered to repay corrupt funds totaling greater than $44,000 after committing 27 breaches of the Tennis Anti-Corruption Program (TACP), the Worldwide Tennis Integrity Company introduced immediately.
The 26-year-old Folliot was discovered to be a central determine in a match-fixing scheme that featured professional gamers actively working with a match-fixing syndicate.
Folliot is the sixth participant to be sanctioned on account of the investigation, following the instances of Jaimee Floyd-Angele, Paul Valsecchi, Luc Fomba, Lucas Bouquet and Enzo Rimoli, the ITIA introduced.
Folliot, who reached a career-high world singles rating of No. 488 in August 2022, denied 30 costs referring to 11 tennis matches between 2022 and 2024. Folliot performed in eight of these matches. Among the many costs Folliot confronted: contriving the result of matches, receiving cash to not give finest efforts for betting functions, providing cash to different gamers to repair matches, provision of inside data, conspiracy to deprave, failure to co-operate with an ITIA investigation, and destruction of proof.
