From the ring to the racecourse, Child Bang Terry Casey rode his first winner at Roscommon on Monday.
The teenage son of former European Champion Willie ‘Large Bang’ Casey rode Duke of Leggagh to success for coach Michael Mulvany, because the horse triumphed by half a size.
The 18-year-old, who’s going about making a reputation for himself on the earth of racing, is already identified to the boxing household.
In addition to taking part in a starring position in one of many biggest press convention images of all time [see below], the youngest son of Limerick’s world title challenger, Willie Casey, received Limerick, Munster and Irish titles for Southside Boxing Academy. Talking to Racing TV about his win Monday, Casey, stated that it “hadn’t actually sunk in but”, and “it’s nice to recover from the road.”
