Maine has added Rick Bennett to the lads’s hockey employees as an assistant coach forward of the 2025-26 season.
Bennett, who brings over 20 years of collegiate teaching expertise to the Black Bears, spent the 2024-25 season as an assistant coach at Quinnipiac and elements of the earlier two seasons as head coach of the ECHL’s Savannah Ghost Pirates.
He served as the top coach at Union from 2011 to 2022, the place he gained a nationwide championship in 2014 and was named the Spencer Penrose Award winner because the NCAA Division I coach of the yr in 2014.
