TULSA, Okla. —The Tulsa Oilers, ECHL affiliate of the Nationwide Hockey League’s Anaheim Geese and the American Hockey League’s San Diego Gulls, introduced the signing of rookie ahead Matthew Henry for the 2025-26 season.
Henry embarks on his skilled profession following a two-season Western Hockey League profession with the Brandon Wheat Kings, whe he registered three factors (2g-1a) and 240 penalty minutes in 94 video games. The 21-year-old’s 140 penalty minutes in 57 video games with the Wheat Kings in 2022-23 led the WHL.
The Prince Albert, Saskatchewan native started his junior profession throughout the 2021-22 season with Battlefords of the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League, recording 16 factors (4g-12a) and 216 penalty minutes in 52 regular-season video games. Earlier than coming into its SJHL program, Henry spent two seasons with Battlefords U18 ‘AAA’ program.
