The Laval Rocket have secured the Macgregor Kilpatrick Trophy because the AHL’s general regular-season champions for the 2024-25 season.
Guided by head coach Pascal Vincent, who’s in his first season with the membership, the Rocket have a league-best file of 47-19-3-2 (99 factors) following Friday night time’s 5-1 victory over Belleville. They’ve secured their second division title, and may have home-ice benefit for so long as they continue to be within the 2025 Calder Cup Playoffs.
The Rocket are the primary full affiliate of the Montreal Canadiens to complete first general within the AHL for the reason that 1991-92 Fredericton Canadiens. (The Hamilton Bulldogs, a shared affiliate of the Canadiens and the Edmonton Oilers, received the Kilpatrick Trophy in 2002-03.)
The Kilpatrick Trophy was instituted in 1997 and is known as in honor of AHL Corridor of Famer Macgregor Kilpatrick.
