Ski patrollers are urging warning off piste this Christmas week, following the demise of a younger British skier. NEW
The 24-year-old died in a fall within the French resort of Les Arcs on Thursday 18th December.
An announcement from the resort stated he was snowboarding within the Chavonnes off piste space.
The alarm was raised at 2.29pm and ski patrollers instantly rushed to the scene.
First support was administered and the medial helicopter from Courchevel arrived at 3pm.
