Chile’s El Colorado Ski Resort Kicks Off Winter Operations

With the snip of a ribbon and blast of a vuvuzela, the ski season at Centro de Ski El Colorado is formally underway. El Colorado inaugurated its first double chairlift in 1953 and it has been the go to resort for residents of Santiago, Chile (only one hour away) for the previous 71 years.

El Colorado options 40km of path serviced by two doubles chairs, three triples chairs and a great deal of floor lifts. It summit elevation is 10,935 toes with a 3,576 toes vertical drop.
