The Ontario Reign clinched a berth within the 2026 Calder Cup Playoffs on Friday night because of a 3-2 victory over Tucson.
The Reign, of their first season underneath head coach Andrew Lord, shall be making their fifth consecutive journey to the Calder Cup Playoffs and their eighth in 9 tries since becoming a member of the AHL in 2015.
Presently in first place within the Pacific Division, Ontario is bidding for its first division title since 2015-16. They are going to be one in all seven groups from the Pacific to qualify for the Calder Cup Playoffs; the highest first-place crew will get a bye into the division semifinals, whereas the second- by means of seventh-place finishers will meet in best-of-three first-round sequence.
